We see the potential that may scare others away.
Founded in 2009 and still family-run, Republic Homebuilding and Renovations handles the additions, whole-home remodels, and structural work in the Houston Bay Area that other contractors may call challenging — and we build the plan that makes you confident in saying yes.
We’re a proud Texas-based operation based in Webster, and have been serving homeowners across Clear Lake, League City, Friendswood, and the greater Houston Bay Area since 2009. We handle room additions, whole-home structural remodels, and the kitchens and baths that lead into them — the kind of complex, load-bearing, permit-heavy work that requires a dedicated, thorough team.
We built Republic to run towards challenging projects, and we created a process to go with it: in-house CAD design, engineered plans, and a fixed-price proposal before you ever sign a construction contract, so you know exactly what you’re getting into. Every project is backed by a real warranty — one year on the work, two years on the systems, six years on the structural components.
Our promises to the homeowners of the Greater Houston Area.
A $2,500 pre-construction agreement includes your initial site visit, in-house 3D CAD drawings, and engineered floor plans before you commit to construction. One family we worked with said the CAD drawings showed them more space than they'd originally imagined — that's just one benefit of seeing the finished project before it's built.
Our proposals are fixed-price, not cost-plus, so the number in your contract is the number you pay. Once you approve the plan, a modest 10% down payment moves your project forward.
We manage full permit navigation with the City of Webster, including asbestos surveys and engineering seals. Our builds meet Gulf Coast standards — wind-rated glass, flood-resistant materials, hurricane-resistant roofing — for homes across Galveston County and coastal Harris County. Every project carries a one-year workmanship, two-year systems, and six-year structural warranty through ACES Builders' Warranty.
Republic's mission
Our mission is simple: Solving your needs and building your dreams.
How do we make that possible, project after project? By letting these six qualities guide our work.
Mark Brown grew up in Galveston, riding along with his mother, Georgia Brown, to job sites across the East End. Georgia was a general contractor in her own right, known for Galveston’s East End’s historic homes. Think classic gingerbread trim, beach-town color palettes, the kind of work good enough to get featured more than once in The Galveston Daily News. Mark learned the trade at her side before it was ever his career.
In 2009, Mark and his wife Della started Republic Homebuilding and Renovations. Over the years, the company shifted from general remodeling toward the work Mark had grown up watching his mother tackle: additions, whole-home renovations, and the structural, engineering-heavy projects that most remodelers steer clear of. As the VP of Design, Della leads the design side of the business, pairing practical floor plans with a style that actually fits how your family lives.
We named the company Republic on purpose. It’s meant to sound like what it is — timeless, stable, independent, built to last, and rooted in Texas. Not the guy in a truck. A company you could hand your six-figure project to and trust it’ll still be standing, and still be Republic, when your kids are grown. Sixteen years in, Mark and Della hope to pass it on to the next generation.
We start with a conversation about your project, your budget, and your timeline, so we both know early on if we're the right fit for the scope you have in mind.
We visit your property to assess the structural realities of the project, then move forward with a $2,500 pre-construction agreement that puts our design team and engineering partners to work.
Our in-house designer builds detailed 3D CAD drawings and floor plans, so you can see the finished space and confirm the scope before signing a full contract.
You receive a fixed-price proposal built from the completed design and engineering work. This means no budget creep once construction starts.
Once the design is set and you're ready to build, a 10% down payment gets us started. We take it from there, handling full permit navigation including asbestos surveys and engineering seals.
We build to code and to Gulf Coast standards, with foundation, framing, and drainage inspections along the way. Every project is backed by a one-year workmanship warranty, a two-year warranty on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, and a six-year structural warranty through ACES Builders' Warranty.
Don't just take our word for it. Honest words from the families whose homes we've helped transform.
