Half the room is currently a tub you step over on the way to the shower. That square footage could be a bigger shower, a real bench, and more than one place to set a cup of coffee down. Two people should be able to get ready at the same time without one waiting in the doorway. And the fixtures and tile should be ones you’d choose now, in the finishes you already picked for the rest of the house.
We rework the layout, not just the finishes. Because bathroom renovations often involve moving plumbing, opening a wall into a closet, or reframing for a curbless shower, we run the same design-build process we use on additions: CAD floor plans and 3D renderings before you commit, then a fixed-price proposal once we lock in the Scope.
There should be room to reach past the soap dish without catching your elbow, and enough space to towel off inside the shower instead of dripping across the floor. A wider opening means getting in doesn’t involve stepping over a wall, and a bench gives you somewhere to sit if you want one. The tub has gone unused for years, so that footprint is better spent on the part of the room you stand in every morning.
Converting a tub to a walk-in shower is structural and plumbing work, not a cosmetic swap. We engineer the shower pan slope, the waterproofing, and the plumbing relocation up front, then build it out with frameless glass, a linear drain, or a curbless entry if that’s the direction you want.
This is the hardest-working room in the house, so it should be built for it. Surfaces that hold up to daily use by three or four people, a floor that handles water without the grout going dark, and a fan that actually clears the steam. Nothing in it should be decorative only. Every square foot gets used every day in a bath like this, which is a different job than a primary suite has to do.
A full hall-bath renovation gets the same waterproofing and craftsmanship standard as our primary suite work, just at a different scope and price point.
Seeing potential in bathrooms past their prime is one of the services that gets us excited, and these are Bay Area projects we'd love to share.
We start with a conversation about your project, your budget, and your timeline, so we both know early on if we're the right fit for the scope you have in mind.
We visit your property to assess the structural realities of the project, then move forward with a $2,500 pre-construction agreement that puts our design team and engineering partners to work.
Our in-house designer builds detailed 3D CAD drawings and floor plans, so you can see the finished space and confirm the scope before signing a full contract.
You receive a fixed-price proposal built from the completed design and engineering work. This means no budget creep once construction starts.
Once the design is set and you're ready to build, a 10% down payment gets us started. We take it from there, handling full permit navigation including asbestos surveys and engineering seals.
We build to code and to Gulf Coast standards, with foundation, framing, and drainage inspections along the way. Every project is backed by a one-year workmanship warranty, a two-year warranty on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, and a six-year structural warranty through ACES Builders' Warranty.
Our bathroom remodels typically fall into one of three different categories:
Starting at
A complete rip-and-replace remodel of a hall or guest bathroom within the existing layout. This is best for updating a dated secondary bath or preparing to put your home on the market.
Starting at
A primary bathroom remodel that includes layout changes. Deluxe bathroom remodels are the primary suite upgrade that most Clear Lake homes built in the ‘90s and 2000s are due for.
Typically
A spa-level primary bath reconfiguration, often expanding into adjacent closet or bedroom space. Premium bathroom remodels are great for homeowners who love to luxuriate while they lather.
Bathroom investment ranges from a full hall-bath refresh to a spa-level primary suite reconfiguration, with prices varying after the initial $2,500 Pre-Construction Agreement. While strict fixture swaps aren’t the best fit for our team, we’re happy to hear more about what you have in mind.
Our promises to the homeowners of the Greater Houston Area.
A $2,500 pre-construction agreement includes your initial site visit, in-house 3D CAD drawings, and engineered floor plans before you commit to construction. One family we worked with said the CAD drawings showed them more space than they'd originally imagined — that's just one benefit of seeing the finished project before it's built.
Our proposals are fixed-price, not cost-plus, so the number in your contract is the number you pay. Once you approve the plan, a modest 10% down payment moves your project forward.
We manage full permit navigation with the City of Webster, including asbestos surveys and engineering seals. Our builds meet Gulf Coast standards — wind-rated glass, flood-resistant materials, hurricane-resistant roofing — for homes across Galveston County and coastal Harris County. Every project carries a one-year workmanship, two-year systems, and six-year structural warranty through ACES Builders' Warranty.
It depends on scope. A standard hall-bath renovation runs 3 to 5 weeks of construction while a primary bath with layout changes runs 5 to 8 weeks. Meanwhile, a full primary-suite reconfiguration can run 8 to 12 weeks. Keep in mind that that’s in addition to the discovery call, site visit, and pre-construction design phase.
Most of our clients live in the home during construction. If it’s your only bathroom, we plan the sequencing so you’re never without functional plumbing longer than absolutely necessary, and we’ll walk through your specific options during the in-home site visit.
Design is fully in-house and integrated into every bathroom remodel. During the Pre-Construction phase, our in-house CAD designer produces 2D floor plans and 3D renderings, and a Project Coordinator guides you through tile, vanity, countertop, fixture, and lighting selections.
It depends on the plumbing and layout involved, but tub-to-shower conversions typically fall in our Deluxe tier, starting at $45,000, since they usually involve relocating plumbing and reframing the wet wall, not just swapping fixtures.
We handle it. One of our Project Coordinators will walk you through tile, grout, glass, vanity, countertop, fixture, and lighting selections so you can focus on finding what you want.
Once your Pre-Construction Agreement produces a finished scope and engineered drawings (if necessary), we hand you a fixed-price proposal tied to that documented scope. From there, the number you approve is the number you pay, with 10% down to start construction.
Because scope and selections are locked during the Pre-Construction phase, most changes are minor. Any change that adds cost or time is documented and priced before we move forward, so there are no surprise line items after the fact.
A dedicated Project Coordinator manages your project from construction to completion, with access to weekly written updates through your JobTread client portal at any hour.
Every project is backed by a 1-year warranty on labor, a 2-year warranty on systems, and a 6-year warranty on structural work.
Yes. We handle full permit navigation, including the City of Webster and surrounding jurisdictions, so plumbing and electrical work is inspected and code-compliant.
Primary bath remodels with layout changes typically start at $45,000, and a full spa-level primary-suite reconfiguration starts at $75,000. Where your project lands depends on scope, plumbing changes, and finish selections.
Don't just take our word for it. Honest words from the families whose homes we've helped transform.
Whether it's a hall bath overdue for an update or a full primary-suite reconfiguration, let's talk through what's possible.
