Places to Visit in Friendswood, TX

The first people to settle in Friendswood, TX, were the Quakers in 1895. They moved there to start a farming community along the gulf coast. By the 1920s, the Quakers were known for figs, the popular crop they produced. Webster, TX can be seen here.

Frank J Brown Museum

This museum was built in 1895 to honor the founder of the town, Frank J. Brown. It is a complete replica of what his home looked like. It shows close to 50 years of Friendswood history, including photos and artifacts. 

Veterans Memorial

This memorial was opened in 2010 as a gesture of respect to courageous veterans who’ve fought and sacrificed for the town. 

Perry House

This is undoubtedly the oldest house in Friendswood. It was built in 1902 by Nathan and Mary Perry. The family donated the house to the Historical Society since it had fallen in disuse. Right now, it has been restored with its original furnishings.
