Frequently Asked Questions

What are the steps of your consultation process?

Finding out exactly what our customers need is our initial step. For smaller home remodeling projects, we can typically provide an estimate based only on your photographs and descriptions if we have enough information from your original quote request. Otherwise, a site visit is necessary for a more accurate quote on your home renovation.

The next step is the design services agreement where we design floor plans and a 3D “walkthrough” as a representation of your remodeling project. Our customers enjoy the experience of this phase since it allows you to see what the space will look like before any construction begins. This allows us to easily make changes if you see something that does not align with your vision.

Last comes the budget calculations. The designs make it easier for us to calculate your home renovation expenses and provide you with a line-by-line budget of your materials and subcontractor costs. We work hard to find solutions that are a win-win for your home remodeling vision and your budget!

How do you keep up to date with the latest practices in homebuilding and remodeling?

We are honored to be members of the Greater Houston Builders Association. In order to stay up to date on the most recent code updates, styles, trends, and the industry’s best practices, our team frequently attends additional workshops and training.

What motivated you to become a homebuilder and remodeler?

18 years ago, I first began renovating my own rental properties before moving on to repairing the homes of my friends and relatives. That experience made me realize how passionate I was about the craft and the enjoyment of helping someone update their lifestyle was very rewarding. Eventually that led to new construction, extensive home renovations, and room additions.

What is your favorite type of project: homebuilding or home renovations?

We don’t necessarily have a favorite since every project is unique.  We have worked with all different kinds of clients, including first-time home buyers looking to remodel their forever homes, seasoned investors wanting to increase property value through a home renovation, and homeowners who need room additions or garage conversions to accommodate a growing family. Getting to know our clients and finding solutions for their needs is our favorite, not the type of job itself.

What guidance would you offer a client seeking a home remodeling company?

Sometimes a homeowner will reach out without leaving any details about their project.  Help us, help you! The more information and images you can include in your first request, the quicker we can provide you with custom solutions and a budget estimate. The specific type and location of the room in your home (ex. the upstairs master bathroom), age of the home, what you’re looking to have done, any measurements, and so on can really help us get a better idea on the scope of your project and what the budget range would look like.

What questions should clients ask during a consultation with a home renovation contractor?

Ask about their reputation. An expert homebuilder or remodeler will have online reviews that can speak on their behalf.  But don’t just look at the star rating!  Actually read what customers have to say about their experience with this specific home remodeling contractor.  That will give you a better idea of what you can expect should you choose to work with them.

Also, ask them if they can suggest any floor plan ideas or features that will save you money while still meeting your needs. A good homebuilder or remodeler will have excellent relationships with their vendors and know of any materials that being provided at a discount during that time.
